Inauguration Day

I am most excited about our Nation's new start.

I spent the day in the high desert with beautiful clear skies. much snow, still winter air. I could see mountains in Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana over 50 miles in all directions. As the sun appeared, 2 coyotes hiding nearby sang a few notes. We live in a beautiful land.

Tonight, Ginger and I attended an Inauguration Party downtown by the falls. We watched the ceremony on a large screen - most of us with tears of confidence and hope.

A good day for this country ...

Love Ya All, Bill

Yes, it is very historic!

I thought the Inauguration started at 2, for some reason, and I missed the first 20 minutes, which really important minutes! But we did watch the rest of it. Great speech. Pretty funny how nervous he and...that other guy were, when he was actually sworn in.

I hope President Obama does a great job!

I didn't know I was signed in as Scott but I just wrote that, Kathy, not Scott.

Kathy- they said that Justice had changed the order of the oath is why P'BO looked like he flubbed it- I'm sure he has been practicing in his bathroom mirror for about 2 years. So he was actually kind of correcting him. Is what the news said

They didn't show the Million Man Metro March as thousands were stranded in the cold holding their commemorative fare cards.

I was babysitting for a kid whos parents went downtown- they didn't get home for about 7 hours as Metro was shut down. Crazy

I'm glad to see so many people so happy. I'm historically hoping for a change. I'm still trying to figure out what that means.

I'm glad yesterday went off without any terror event or assisination attempt. So many people all together in one place makes me nervous. I'm just glad yesterday is over and everyone is safe.

Now I'm in wait and see mode. So that is what I hope. Just what you said.

I hope President Obama does a great job.

Well put

Stepi

Yesterday was a sad, sad day around here. Tears were shed, emotions stirred, even the cat is all out of sorts. Hugs of comfort were given and needed.

Our lives have changed and who knows what will happen for the future. Yes, it's true, Mom and Dad headed for the airport and off to Utah to start their adventure in Denmark!!!! It is very excitting but mom and dad are never too happy with good byes.

I wish them the very best of luck and I hope they do a great job!!

And the same goes for P'Bo.
